| The trim feels wierd. Like, the shoulderpads are nice, the royal red meshes well, but that trim just seems jarring, and the characters on the trim are too dark of a black. I would suggest a different trim shade and a more natural character color for fabric embroidary, perhaps a dark silver.
Also, why would the trim circle around right under the armpit and chest bordering the armor as well? It seems like he top of a shirt of that sort would be covered by the shoulderpads. You wouldnt weave an under-garment with a horizontal line in that area on purpose, or maybe im just misinterpreting it. If thats an overcoat it still works poorly, as the top and bottom just dont fit well together. Unified theme.
[edit] Looking at it more, third option, its an outside corset. That doesnt make much sense with how the backpiece is outside, yet covering the front, but its a possibility. In that case i would seriously suggest changing the shading on the undershirt. Even though the hue is different, it's mostly hidden nature at the seam in the corset makes it almost appear to be a continuous layer of the outside piece. It's rather visually confusing, in no small part due to the uniformity of the clasps.

| Hmmmm, well first and foremost, I just followed the model. Although the skinmap has all of the shirt, trim, and the backplate trim set to be the customizable color, the ridges on the model itself upon close examination show them to be 3 separate parts, and so yes, I think the robe thing is supposed to be sort of like a decorative corset. It wraps around the back and clasps in the front, and the armor piece thing fits over it and may even be sewn to it, due to the was the clasps are laid out. Anywho, I just followed what the model suggested.
As for the trim color, I guess I will have to try to isolate the trim again and mess with it, since everyone keeps telling me it sucks. I was just trying to work my personal color into the skin somewhere other than minor accents, but I'll figure it out. I think maybe I'll make the embroidery match the metal color of the decorative armor pieces, rather than silver though, for continuity sake. Thanks for the ideas/suggestions. :-)

| Made some final changes. I think I like it a LOT better now. I'm totally happy with it. And on to the other 2 skins! Yay! I'll update again soon. | |

| There isnt enough depth to the skin here. You need darker blacks all over, but especially on the scarf and sleeves to signify shadows. Keep in mind that JKA really washes out darks all on its own, so you need to compensate.
I also think you should add an ornament somewhere on the front, perhaps a button or medal on the shirt, or a clasp on the scarf. It's a bit too bland.

| It's bland because they're training robes. :-P As for the sleeves, they are just a recolor, and virtually everything on the skin was darkened and re-contrasted for the sake of the wash-out factor. I'll definitely test it out in game though and see if I need to beef up the contrast more. As for adding ornament, I already did, the original skin doesn't have buttons on the front. :-)
P.S. These customizable default skins are extremely hard to work with because of the customizable parts being transparent and thereby hard to isolate, and even harder to change, therefore I'm somewhat limited in what I can do with them. Unfortunately, there isn't really a better set of Kel Dor models out there, and I've been very happy with the results thus far.
